I see it as this, a bird sings solely for the joy of singing. Not to be productive or to get something done, their is no practical use to it, it just enjoys singing

I have loved this quote since I bought it painted on a plaque at a craft sale 30 years ago, though I am not certain what it means. Maybe something about the bird, or person, may not have the answer to life or to a certain life situation, yet may still have something to offer, something of significance to share, that will make life sweeter or more meaningful. Even if we don't have all the answers we all have something special to share with each other. We all have value for what we bring to this life.

A bird sings because it has a song... not because it has a solution. I think it is saying that one may not have the answer to a certain issue (ranging from personal to global issues) yet the song/purpose still is valuable in and of itself. So, life your life simply 'because it is'... even though you do not have the answer for everything. The song or journey has a meaning nonetheless!

Sometimes, thing are simply what they are. The bird has a song. It sings. Our mind has nothing to do with it. Sometimes, we do not listen to the song, we hear only our mind. Our mind produces questions and answers, it works without cease. It even puts meanings behind a bird's song.

So, in order to HEAR THE SONG, you should stop your mind. Listen, there is a a bird singing there. Its song is not about you, it is about itself.
